2026 Kawasaki KLX230 Sherpa S

THE ULTIMATE ESCAPE ARTIST

When your sense of wanderlust kicks in and you want to escape your daily routine to soak in the fresh air and breathtaking vistas of the great outdoors, Kawasaki’s KLX230 SHERPA has you covered. Accommodating, tough and functional, the KLX230 SHERPA combines a highly approachable package with ample off-road performance and rugged outdoor-gear looks. From in-town commuting and highway cruising, to dirt trekking and trail riding, the KLX230 SHERPA is the ideal tool for getting to a weekend campout, and exploring some unbeaten paths along the way.

Features may include:

ACCOMMODATING
  • RIDER-FRIENDLY VERSATILITY FOR TOWN, TREKKING & SHORT TOURING

For outdoor enthusiasts, the KLX230 SHERPA’s rider-friendly character makes it a highly approachable and versatile trekking tool. Light handling and light weight, a low seat height, large-diameter wheels with dual-purpose tires, disc brakes with selectable, slim shrouds that offer a broad view of the ground, and highly legible digital instrumentation with smartphone connectivity contribute to a broad range of rider-friendly performance.

TOUGH
  • RUGGED BUILD

With its proven KLX230 base, the KLX230 SHERPA has the rugged capability to get you where you want to go. Its engine and chassis were designed with trail-riding in mind, giving it a broad range of performance to accommodate trekking, trail riding, city commuting and highway riding. Features like an aluminum skid plate, hand guards, and a lightweight tapered aluminum handlebar add to the rugged build quality.

FUNCTIONAL
  • COMPACT, UTILITARIAN TRAIL-BIKE DESIGN

Functional, compact and friendly, the styling of the KLX230 SHERPA was carefully chosen to create an image distinct from other KLX models inspired by Kawasaki’s KX motocrossers. Bright, racy colours are replaced with earth-tones, and slim, utilitarian bodywork is used in place of more aggressive pieces to create a trail bike with strong outdoor-gear looks. Like high-end outdoor gear, the KLX230 SHERPA’s rugged trail-bike design is one that riders will be proud to show off, whether in town or on the trail.
